Welcome to Gala!

Gala Restaurant & Bar is a AAA 4-Diamond rated fine dining restaurant located inside The Orchards Hotel in lovely Williamstown Massachusetts in the heart of The Berkshires. With it’s not often found blend of classic and contemporary cuisine Gala offers something for everyone.

Since becoming Gala in 2006 the restaurant has been reinvented to provide an experience not easily rivaled. Gala boasts an elegant dining room with breathtaking views of it’s adjacent courtyard. The menu, created by Executive Chef Chris Bonnivier, satisfies both the casual and formal diner by offering dishes such as Colorado elk and roasted salmon in the winter season and softshell crab tempura and grilled swordfish in the summer.

The bar, which has undergone it’s own transformation, is quickly becoming a favorite for local guests as well as those guests staying in The Orchards Hotel. Gala’s bar has table seating for approximately 40 people and our comfortable fireside couches are winter time favorites. The bar has a menu all it’s own and is sure to delight. Burgers, “build your own” pasta selections, steaks and fish and chips are just a few of the delicious items from which you can choose.

The atmosphere and experience in Gala’s bar combines comfort with fun and excitement. There monthly events like karaoke and Wii bowling tournaments. The Gala Mug Club offers you the opportunity to hang your own mug in the bar and enjoy menu discounts every time you use it. You can watch your favorite game or catch the local ski report on our flat screen HD televisions or you can relax by the fire and chat with friends. Our Williams College Ephs scoreboard will keep you up to date on all the local college action as well.
